Topman Design Spring/Summer 2011

I fell in love with the Topman boy. We went camping together, roasted marshmallows over an open fire and washed our dirty clothes in a river nearby. Sometimes I wasn't quite sure if he was actually wearing shorts or a skirt.

The militaristic uniform principle consequently pursued. Thriving on variations of form and structure. Heart-stoppingly protective yet irritating, creating optical illusions and flat 3D shapes by the use of a forceful quilting technique.

A crispy preview of an immaculate syncrisis of militarism and the highly worshipped Louise Goldin DNA. An army of petrol blue and khaki green threatened by flashes of pop coloured hot pants. A full and visually sharp review to follow.

Non Compos Mentis

Rag & Bone Fall/Winter 2010

Never really found access to Rag & Bone. Never felt attracted to what it stands for. Never liked camouflage. Never appreciated a colour palette of khaki, green and brown. Never been a fan of tartans either. In summation, so it seems, everything accursed becomes tempting, almost likeable.
