Although the collection's title 'Gakona' refers to a small village in the mountains of Alaska, its sound and final outcome does evoke a notion of Japanese tradition. Paired with German severity and craftsmanship, it results in the emphasis of two elements, two sides, the elusiveness of belt and scarf.

As a continuous principle, my love for collections grows in retrospect. In my eyes, Spring/Summer 2008 was a notably strong season. Stefano Pilati's vision is of timeless relevance and manifest in today's evolution in menswear. An aesthetic seemingly appreciated and consequently continued by Lucas Ossendrijver for Lanvin.

Juun J. Fall/Winter 2010

Not only showed Juun J. a proper winter collection, the pieces also persuaded thought-out complexity and wearability. The various scarf interpretations created a feminine counterpart to heavy unzippable leather jackets and evoked a 2010 Jüngling version of Grace Jones. My personal favourite though remained a grey deconstructed wool coat.

Rene Gurskov - a man to adore. His designs as subtle and smart as one longs for. His vision of male beauty and identity fits 1:1 to my self-conception. Concepts of the 'ideal me'. Just look at the leather waistcoat and the tartan scarf, allowing intelligent layering with well dosed 90s references. Lynn & Horst are more then content.
