The new Julia and Ben collection for Fall/Winter 2008: as captivating as always. But this time I feel the women's pieces are stronger. Reminds me a bit of Romain Kremer.
"Hauptsache reich und keinen Geschmack" (Be rich! Taste does not count!) - that seems to be one of the guidelines of old rich ladies as often seen in Munich but now also in Berlin... How else could one explain why women should wear a fur coat with Mickey Mouse Allover print? For us these kind of things will always be a mystery...
Winner of New Generation Award during Berlin Fashion week is QED pour Homme. They stood up to Mongrels in Common and Pulver. I like the cropped trousers and the tee/scarf construction.
A remarkable label. The z.B. collection plays with exaggeration and oversizing. Shirts and hoodies are combined into new pieces of clothing. Voluminous collars and layered details are the key elements. Futuristic nylon materials and clear colors reign: black, white, green and purple.
Berlin Fashion Week has started. And Lynn & Horst have moved into their luxury city apartment in Mitte. So during the next days we will show you some of the highlights. Let's begin with Pulver.
Not only the collections but the whole visual communication of our beloved Carin Wester makes me sigh over and over again. So here's a preview of the current Spring/Summer 2008 lookbook. So sensual!
Soft colors, nice gradients and unusual compositions create an authentic polaroid charme. Can I have the print version, please??? /HORST
The new Maison Martin Margiela looks are sadly not so █████ing. But there's this style which stands out - ███████. I would not wear it or recommend anyone to do so but it's an attempt, it's kind of int███sting.
Uahhhhh! Finally one of our L&H favorites presented his brandnew collection. And there is no doubt: Henrik Vibskov does everything right. The thrillingly perfect balance between strangeness and wearability. An icon for its on.
Bea Auftour, the German Anna Wintour, mentioned: "Was sind das für Pimmel in denen die da gehen? Und was haben die vor den Augen? Einen Bart?!" (translation on request)
A design studio that kills them all! Perfectly executed campaigns for H&M, Sony and Orange. Always in the center of attention: Color, shapes, geometry. I just love what they do.
Paulo Luz, a cute guy and really talented fashion designer, presented his collection at Rio Moda Hype. And his pieces are really screaming for a hype. Very minimal and experimental, clever, not over-styled. Volume and layering in focus. Over all a super subtle look.
