Soon in my mailbox. The secrets to male beauty and success. Containing everything you need to know. Written by Charles Hix. Photographed by Bruce Weber. It's not getting any better. /HORST
Yes, they look good. Especially on the record sleeves. Posing with ugly dogs, wearing bow tie or a BOY cap. I have the whole collection and examnining the artwork and discovering new details again and again is like meditation. And somehow I even start to like the fact that after a while of listening to records, the dust blocks the needle so you have to get up and clean it before you can enjoy listening to 'Always On My Mind' again. /HORST
Henry Holland is a bit overdosin' and I am not his biggest fan, but I truly love this outfit. Especially the sandals. I love sandals and those are the prettiest I've seen so far. Anyone knows the label? And one more little quiz for you: whose hand is on his shoulders? It's quite easy to guess... /HORST
We met him several times. And he was always wearing his pink overall. He is a true style leader. Unfortunately, I forget his name. And honestly, I don't want to be polemic. His style concept seems to be right. Just the execution is a bit improvable. Lynn & Horst alternatively recommend:
Left Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2005 Right Maison Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2006
Horst waiting for the train to Barkarby. The place where he will try his first Flurry Bilar. The place where he will beat down the price of his brandnew Whyred jacket. /LYNN
It could be me but it’s not. One could think waistcoats and checkered shirts are over but I say why should they? It looks good. Just wait a bit until all fashion followers have disappeared. And: Please combine this look with a moustache! /HORST
My favourite style sightings so far. How badly I wished to rent an appartment in a street where nobody but those boys live. What a wonderful style utopia. /HORST
It’s time for a new series. A selection of illustrations I did recently. Celebrating style and highlighting stunning details. May I introduce: Textured People. /HORST
Rene Gurskov - a man to adore. His designs as subtle and smart as one longs for. His vision of male beauty and identity fits 1:1 to my self-conception. Concepts of the 'ideal me'. Just look at the leather waistcoat and the tartan scarf, allowing intelligent layering with well dosed 90s references. Lynn & Horst are more then content.
