Homeless Chic

Simon Rasmussen Spring/Summer 2011

Fantastic Simon Rasmussen presented his first collection. An eclectic recycling of random materials and graphic references, also quoting Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's teddy bear coat worn by supermodel Helena Christensen in the heart-breakingly amusing film Prêt-à-Porter. An exquisit example for Recession Couture.

New Decadence

Magazine Hero

For the third and yet most striking issue of Hero Magazine, ornamental Versace silk shirts clash with sports equipment and softdrink refreshment accessories. There is something very stimulative about this head to toe look.

Dispartment

Wooyoungmi Spring/Summer 2011

First and foremost: the glasses are divine. A remarkable collection aiming for the modern humanist and poet. The adequate wardrobe for a man who is dedicated to scientific research and the critical discourse.

Alienesque

John Galliano Spring/Summer 2003

Porcelain dolls in exuberant colours. Wrapped in tunics, veils, dresses and scarfs. Too much of everything. Too much of romanticism. Too much of orientalism. Overdosage of such a degree only a John Galliano is allowed to.

The infamous transparent printed Raf Simons snake top paired with massive motocross boots. If I could just lay my hands on these precious items of unspent masculinity.

Forgotten Matter II

or Things I Never Wear

Hat Model's Own
Coat Acne Jeans
Shirt COS
Trousers Acne Jeans
Gloves Vintage
Shoes Second Hand

Another chapter in the history-making series Forgotten Matter. Except the hat, I hardly ever wear these garments. A mistake as it seems. The coat is too long, the trousers too tight, the shoes too white. But once put together, I feel extremely well dressed. It's a mystery.

Déjà Vu

Buttons. Worn by Horst. Shot by Kvannam Chu.

Cropped. Worn by Horst. Shot by Joachim Mueller-Ruchholtz.

Gold. Shown by Horst. Shot by Txema Yeste.

Little Horsti proves the right intuition. One day presented or worn by the Kitten Lover himself, next day part of a fashion spread. Of course this is pure coincidence, but let me believe in my extrasensory powers.

A Piece Of Gold

Styling Maayan Goldman

Like a heatwave, beauty evolves from the desert. Sublime concepts of feminine persuasion, pulchritude and mysticism. Styled with genuine intuition by Maayan Goldman.

Forgotten Matter I

or Things I Never Wear

Denim waistcoat Levi's
Michael Jackson T-shirt Vintage
Leather pants Acne
Half-boot Vintage

I was going through my closet looking for things I used to love but that I would never put on again. Embarrassing witnesses of my fashion past. A trip down memory lane. And this is the result. Very reminiscent of the beloved movie Monster. And somehow shockingly nice.

Detail Devotion

Gaspard Yurkievich Fall/Winter 2009

The best use of leopard print can be admired at Gaspard Yurkievich. The perfect balance. The perfect way for men to dress in kitten love. All you need is a pair of socks.

Gust & Squall

Missoni Fall/Winter 2009

The definition of cohesiveness. The styling is noteworthy. The colour palette harmonious. The silhouette monolithic. A million ways to perfection.
