According to Karl Lagerfeld, he had never done a collection without black or navy except for his Spring 2010 Collection for Chanel. For his Spring 2010 Haute Couture Show, Lagerfeld chose a silver and pastel theme. The models sported heart-shaped cartoonish hair, shorts suits, bubble skirts, flowing togas and rococo-heeled silver booties. Checkout the majestic pieces shown in Chanel Spring 2010 Haute Couture Show!
Trivia: According to Instyle.com, Karl Lagerfeld used the heart-shaped hairdo of Lady Gaga for the show.
Before I give the recap for the Fall 2010 Paris Fashion Week, I wanted to feature unique fashion show by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. The fashion designer successfully created an arctic ambiance by importing a 265-ton iceberg from Scandinavia to the Grand Palais. With the iceberg's 28 feet height,it definitely made the audience shiver. Meanwhile, the models enjoy the runway as they present cozy knits, furry apparel and thick tweeds. View the rest of the collection!
Elle Spain April 2010 featured a series of drawings of Disney cartoon characters that represents some of world's famous fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Sonia and Nathalie Rykiel, Alber Elbez, Dolce and Gabbana, and John Galliano.

Last year, we have seen Coca Cola Light's Tribute to fashion. This 2010, Coca-Cola Light summoned Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld to create a limited-edition bottle. This fashionable bottle is made from aluminum and features a pink cap with Karl Lagerfeld's silhouette in the background. The bottle is now sold at Parisian boutique, Collete for 3.50 Euros ($4.70). I want to grab one of these Karl Lagerfeld-designed Coca Cola bottles but they are only available in Paris!
Lady Gaga spilled the beans about stress, sexuality, and her romantic future in Elle's January 2009 Issue. Check out some of Lady Gaga's cover shoot for the said issue:
Leather sandal jacket from the Artisanal collection. Panty from Agent Provocateur Iridescent plastic dress by Jil Sander. Tights by Falke. Suede elevated platform shoes from Vivienne Westwood.
Transparent plastic veil top by Karl Lagerfeld. Brief from Frederick’s of Hollywood. Sunglasses by Linda Farrow Projects.
Unexpectedly it finally happened: I like Chanel. The luxurious, overboard, baroque, all-over embellished and jewelized. The twin-set becomes a trinket. Ich habe es nicht erwartet. /HORST
I more and more fall for the photographic genius of Karl Lagerfeld. Especially in regard of his continuation and adaption of utopian fantasies known from modern ancestors such as Fritz Lang and Thierry Mugler. Pursuing the concept of the robot woman. /HORST
Metamorphoses of an American is on its way to me. Four clothbound hardcover books, foil stamped with tipped-in image on the front, housed in a handmade slipcase. 1144 pages. 864 tritone plates. /HORST
As fenke commented in our Chritian Wijnant feature "Belgian fashion is just great". And the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp always stands for excellent graduates such as bruno Pieters who worked as assistant for labels like Martin Margiela or Christian Lacroix Haute Couture. In march 2006 Karl Lagerfeld photographed bruno for “Madame Figaro” magazine. The photoshoot featured 30 of Paris best designers... But there are two things I don't like: the model and the shoes... /HORST
