Techno Goth

Julius Fall/Winter 2011

There assuredly is the necessity to analyse the re-emerging techno phenomenon. The most interesting part about its latest deployment is the blending with contrary genres. Does the new New Romantic listen to hardcore?

Le 21 Vendredi

Collections Julius, Walter van Beirendonck, Kris van Assche, Cerruti, Henrik Vibskov, John Galliano

Paris blackberry diary day two. Highlights include Tony Ward at the best show so far: Kris van Assche. And Russian ballet at John Galliano, reading Sophokles while waiting for the gender snow storm to start.

My Prerogative

1. Ann Demeulemeester Spring/Summer 2011
2. Andy Warhol
3. Julius Spring/Summer 2011

Mental preparations. Less than two weeks left. Synchronizing memories and assembling formal elements, abstract impressions. How would one describe it? How would one wear it? It's an amour fou.

Le 21 Jeudi

I don't wanna hold back my incredibly sharp Blackberry images, so here are first impressions from Paris Fashion Week. The prettiest models with blue highlights and portable radios at Dries van Noten. Wooden stick sculptures and men in kilts at Henrik Vibskov. Suicidal goth elves in soft leather gear at Julius. Caressing scarf symbiosis at Juun J. Asymmetrically padded bell-bottom suits at Gaspard Yurkievich. And bloody boxer iconography at Jean Paul Gaultier. A detailed commentary will follow soon.
