Moonstruck

1. Neil Armstrong, 1969
2. Scott Listfield
3. Unknown
4. Thom Browne Spring/Summer 2011
5. GFAJ-1 bacteria

Alien microorganisms that constitute themselves of arsenic. I've always been fascinated by two things: dinosaurs and the space. Consequently I am thrilled by the latest NASA discovery. Another indicator for the fact that Alien Fashion might be outermost relevant very soon.

Voyeurism 1956

Artworks Andy Warhol

Comparatively little attention has been paid to Andy Warhol's minute drawings. Pure portraits with a great sense for reduction. No need for pop colour schemes and endless repetition. Just the beauty of simplicity.

Analgetic

A new male couple to adore. Beautiful music that evokes memories of most beloved Prefab Sprout. Accompanied by impeccable style. The perfect boy band is stuck in former times, wearing suits and combed back hair. The perfect boy band Hurts.

Coffin Bearer

Komakino Spring/Summer 2009

I like Komakino most when it's not too goth/punk-ish. Just a tiny reference: a ripped knee, a deconstructed white shirt, a black coat. And the idea of reducing the colour palette to black and white fits me very well.

Palm Trees And Other Phantasies

Soar Spring/Summer 2009

Topless washing mashine fighter Paul made me stumble upon fantastic Hawaii print jumpsuits by Tim Soar. And because I still haven't found a nice overall, my heart immediately makes boom.

House Of Bare

House Of Bare Spring/Summer 2009

It's really amazing what little Johnny did. I love love love it. It's complex and risky. The first thing that comes to my mind is my neighbour wearing his sunday morning relax sweatshirt with a wild post 80s pattern and matching shorts. Secondly, I am addicted to the idea of men wearing cropped tees. So serving the right dose of tackiness, the white cutout t-shirt fulfils all my craziest dreams. Finally, as I already mentioned, mesh details make my legs turn to jelly. Conclusion: pure suburban sexiness. And this time, I would wear it!

Zum Lachen in den Keller

Keller Fall/Winter 2008

I know it was a tough time. Bad Taste and Trash ruled my blog. So this time, for you to breathe a sigh of relief, something nice and wearable.

The Local Firm is looking for new Employees

The Local Firm Fall/Winter 2008

Black Leather and Blue Jeans - a brilliant combination. In general blue and black match so well, I don't know why there's this urban myth telling it's a no-go. It's so subtle and intelligent, it's effortless and stands above.

Greek God

"Only feet away from the light Orpheus lost faith and turned around. He saw Eurydice, but only for a moment as her shade was whisked back down among the other dead souls. She was gone." - Ovid (Orpheus and Eurydice)

Ok, it's a bit cliché to start a feature about the Greek designer Yiorgos Eleftheriades with a quote of a classical Greek myth, but we love clichés! So let's have a look at our new fashion discovery. And never forget: don't turn around...

Berlin Shopping Guide - z.B.

A remarkable label. The z.B. collection plays with exaggeration and oversizing. Shirts and hoodies are combined into new pieces of clothing. Voluminous collars and layered details are the key elements. Futuristic nylon materials and clear colors reign: black, white, green and purple.

Eco Sexy

It's green and blue. It's handmade luxury denim from Sharkah Chakra. It's sexy. Maybe because of the guy and the girl. Maybe because of the fit. And it's intelligent, consistent and simple. What do you want more?

S2VS

S2VS Spring/Summer 2008

Amazing new label from NYC with great styles for men who don't take themselves too seriously. Mix some glitter, some gold, some leggings, some zebra, some naked skin and you got the look of love, the look of S2VS.

From cool to cute

Rene Gurskov says: "Men have the same urge as women to change identity from type to time, and they do. This collection can be helpfull in this process!"

I totally agree with Rene's definition of male beauty.

High Waist Trench Shorts

A conflict of silhouettes describes best the Spring/Summer 2008 menswear collection of Juun J. Everything is overlapping: shirts and cardigans, knit sleeved jackets and knitwear. Classic items are reborn in a new, dramatic and sophisticated way. The colors reduced to the max.

Fresh meat: Julia and Ben

Another proof for the fact that German fashion design is not that bad. Far from it! It is fantastic, full of surprises and always bringing a "wow" into our minds.

Especially for gentlemen the Berlin based designer duo has nice things to offer.
